The office staff Whitney, Sherri and Ewelina are very easy to work with and do a fantastic job keeping us updated on needs, schedules and concerns. I can't say enough good things about the team here and we have recommended them already to other friends in town. We started out with great business but in the end the business is horrible. We will never build with them again. Our garage door is still not in and we have been in our new house for almost a year. The paint job was done horrible that we can not wait for the year mark is up that way we can repaint our house.

We were shorted insulation in the attic, found shoddy workmanship in the installation of our floors, and we've found the windows to be of poor quality. Our gas fireplace was not insulated, yet when approached, we were told that it met code. "Code" means we make no effort to actually do the right thing. We were also told that these are energy efficient homes. We've found that our HVAC system design is "old" - with suspended attic ducts in an unconditioned environment, un-insulated duct boots that cause extremely uncomfortable conditions in the winter.

I've been living here since December of 2017 and so far I have loved it! The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Apartments are in a decent part of town with a grocery store right down the road.

But after reading all the posts on the shoddy workmanship and Chinese Drywall, I think the good lord was looking out after me. After I got the word I was disapproved, I started calling about my earnest money deposit. They wouldn't return my calls all of a sudden.

Also, the GE dishwasher broke down during Year 3. People who spend over $650,000 on a brand new house should have at least five years of peace before major appliances break down! I love the layout of the house but hate that KHov buys the cheapest parts that break down soon after the warranty expires. Be aware of this builder, they do not want to accept warranty claims whatsoever.

From Day One, it has been the worst example of poor quality home construction that I have ever seen. I have had three new homes built in my life and I've owned several others since 1978, so this is saying something. Follow-up on issues has been excruciatingly slow. Progress is slowly being made to get the house where it should be, thanks to a newer and more effective Service Manager, but it's been a very time-consuming and arduous process. The biggest complaint we have is the construction quality. On the outside it does look very good and expensive. However, living there for 3 years now , the quality is beginning to show. We recently purchased with KHOV in Pender Oaks community, Virginia. We paid deposit in Jan 2022, for August delivery of home which got pushed to September end due to supply chain shortages. When we paid the deposit we asked for couple of changes which were not taken care of. We had to follow up multiple times later on and had to give up on a couple of items. Our realtor couldn't be present during closing and had provided required information reg. Commission details to be put in the agreement before she left.

We were called 'cockroaches' for leaving at 5pm on a Friday, the mentality here is that you owe the company everything and should worship management for giving you a job, very old school company. All of these horrible people still work here, but every good coworker left. This place traps losers and makes anyone competent run for the hills, incompetence seems to increase with tenure. The CEO is a bizarre spoiled rich kid, I have worked with people far richer and smarter than him who showed employees much more respect. When he goes on land tours it's like the King of England is in town, he is very demanding and treats employees like his wait staff. He won't stay at the same hotel or even eat with high level division executives, super weird.

We were passed from one manager to another, and that back to that same original manager. We have had 4 different construction site leads. Once the walls were poured, it was discovered that a footer was placed incorrectly by us, not Khov.

Every time I speak to someone about my home, no one seems to know what is actually going on. In the pre-dry wall walk through, large items such as the kitchen island being the incorrect size was wrong, which the project manager didn't even realize, I had to point it out to HIM. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and they are taking advantage of having the upper hand assuming we are boxed in with our earnest deposit. We finally told them we would use our own excavator and pay out of pocket. Basically any warranty you have with them is completely useless and they limit their liability in their contract by forcing you to go to arbitration and not a regular court hearing.
